Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Search or filter by topic below. If you don't find your answer, our specialists are one message away.

Evaluation & Pricing

How is my diamond evaluated?

Our certified gemologists assess your diamond against the 4Cs: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, using calibrated equipment and current market data. If your stone has a GIA, AGS, or IGI certificate, we cross-reference it directly; uncertified stones are graded in-house at no charge.

What determines the price you offer?

Pricing reflects real-time wholesale market rates, the diamond's grade, demand for its shape and size, and any accompanying certification. We provide a transparent breakdown with every offer so you understand exactly how the figure was reached.

Do you accept diamonds without a certificate?

Yes. Uncertified diamonds are welcome. Our gemologists will grade the stone in person and can arrange third-party certification on your behalf if you would like formal documentation before selling.

Can I get an estimate before sending my diamond?

Absolutely. Submit clear photos and any certificate details through our quote form for a preliminary estimate within one business day. The final offer is confirmed once we physically inspect the piece.

Process & Logistics

How do I start the selling process?

Submit a quote request online with photos and details, or book a private appointment at one of our showrooms. A specialist will follow up within one business day to walk you through next steps.

Do I need to ship my diamond, or can I visit in person?

Either option works. We provide a free, fully insured shipping kit with tracking, or you can schedule a private consultation at one of our locations for an in-person evaluation and immediate offer.

How long does the entire process take?

Most sellers receive a written offer within 24 to 48 hours of our team receiving the diamond. In-person appointments can conclude with an offer the same day.

Is my diamond insured during shipping?

Yes. Every shipment sent using our prepaid kit is fully insured for its declared value, tracked door to door, and requires a signature on delivery at our secure facility.

Payment & Security

How will I be paid?

You may choose a direct bank transfer, wire, or company check. Bank transfers and wires are typically the fastest and are available the same business day your offer is accepted.

How quickly do I receive payment after acceptance?

Once you accept our written offer, payment is issued the same business day for wire and bank transfer. Checks are mailed within 24 hours via tracked delivery.

Is the transaction secure and confidential?

Completely. All shipments are insured, all evaluations happen in a secure, monitored facility, and your personal and financial information is never shared with third parties.

Diamond Types & Eligibility

What types of diamonds do you purchase?

We purchase natural, mined diamonds of nearly any shape, size, and grade, including round, princess, cushion, emerald, and pear cuts, from melee weights up to significant investment-grade stones.

Do you buy loose diamonds and diamonds set in jewelry?

Yes, both. If your diamond is set in a ring, necklace, or bracelet, we evaluate the stone and the setting separately, and can offer to purchase the full piece or the diamond alone.

Do you purchase colored or fancy diamonds?

Fancy colored diamonds, including yellow, pink, and brown stones, are welcome. These require specialized grading, so we recommend booking an in-person appointment for the most accurate offer.

What if I decide not to sell after evaluation?

There is never any obligation. If you decline our offer, your diamond is returned to you free of charge via fully insured, tracked shipping, or handed back to you directly in-store.
